The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) employs more than 150 Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in small and medium-sized communities across Vancouver Island.

Our dedicated staff delivers a wide range of services to 14 Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations, including health care, educational support, child and family services, community news reporting…and much more.

Teechuktl Harm Reduction Coordinator

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council is seeking a full-time, term (to March 31, 2022 with the possibility of an extension), Teechuktl (mental health) Harm Reduction Coordinator. This position is responsible to establish relationships with persons at risk.
Based out of the Port Alberni office, the Harm Reduction Coordinator will communicate with front line service workers and coordinate activities and training to support wellness and healing within a culturally safe framework.

Resource Team Lead (USMA Family and Child Services)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council’s Usma Family and Child Services (F&CS) is seeking an experienced, Resource Team Leader. The Resource Team Leader supervises staff and is responsible for recruiting, developing, and maintaining a range of family care resources. The Resource Team Leader supports staff in ensuring caregivers nurture the cultural and spiritual identities of the children placed in their care. This team leader position focuses on the day-to-day functioning of the team, and provides clinical supervision, planning and mentorship. Based out of Port Alberni, this position works alongside agency employees and is supervised by the Director of Usma F&CS.

Program Delivery Assistant

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council’s Education, Training & Social Development (ETSD), is seeking a full-time Program Delivery Assistant in the Education, Training & Social Development Department. Based out of the Port Alberni office, the Program Delivery Assistant provides operational and administrative assistance to the program leader, performs a variety of administrative, coordination and logistical services in support of the operations of the ETSD programs, and provides effective and efficient support to the program teams to ensure smooth program delivery.
