The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) employs more than 150 Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in small and medium-sized communities across Vancouver Island.

Our dedicated staff delivers a wide range of services to 14 Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations, including health care, educational support, child and family services, community news reporting…and much more.

Case Manager

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council is seeking a permanent, full-time Case Manager to work in the Nuu-chah-nulth Employment and Training Program (NETP) based out of the Ucluelet office. The Case Manager is directly involved in the process of employment case management and supporting individuals with achieving their employment and training goals. This position would suit an individual who is looking for a rewarding career and who has passion to help others achieve new goals and opportunities.

HR Generalist (term maternity leave backfill)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a term, full-time Human Resources
Generalist to provide maternity leave coverage through June 2027. This role delivers a
comprehensive range of HR services, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations,
Health & Safety, and support for performance management processes. Based out of an office in
Port Alberni, BC, the Human Resources Generalist reports to the HR Manager and contributes to
the effective delivery of HR functions to an assigned area of the organization.

Teechuktl Clinical Counsellor (CR , Tofino)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC), Teechuktl (Mental Health) Program is seeking a permanent, full time Teechuktl Clinical Counsellor to provide individual counselling for individuals or families in NTC’s Central Regions (Tofino). Based out of the NTC’s Tofino office, this position would best suit someone who can provide counselling services that promotes individual and community wellness through a balance of Quu’asa (First Nation people) values and trauma-based clinical methods. This position requires travel into remote communities and other Regions including the Southern and the Northern Region. Travel is on gravel road, by helicopter, float plane, and boat.

Teechuktl Clinical Counsellor Term, Part Time (NR, Campbell River)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC), Teechuktl (Mental Health) Program is seeking a term, part-time (0.5-0.8 FTE) Teechuktl Clinical Counsellor to provide maternity leave coverage through May 2027. This role provides counselling for individuals or families in NTC’s Northern Regions. Based out of Campbell River, this position would best suit someone who can provide counselling services that promotes individual and community wellness through a balance of Quu’asa (First Nation people) values and trauma-based clinical methods. This position requires travel into Zeballos and Gold River Communities including on gravel road, by boat, float plane and helicopter. Travel to other Regions including the Southern and the Central Region may be required.

C6 Social Worker (Child Protection)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Usma Family and Child Services is seeking three (3) experienced, C6 delegated Social Workers to fill permanent, full-time positions. Based out of Port Alberni and Campbell River, BC, these positions will have full C6 caseload responsibilities. Travel (by vehicle, boat, and airplane, depending on caseload) is required for this position. Usma Nuu-chah-nulth Family and Child Services works on the traditional and unceded territories of the 14 Nuu-chah-nulth Nations, supporting and collaborating with community to develop appropriate responses to child safety concerns and build upon community support services.

Home Care LPN- Home Support Supervisor

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a full-time, permanent Home Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Home Support Supervisor to provide a full continuum of Community Home care Nursing services to individuals in a variety of community-based settings in all Regions. The Home Care LPN/Home Support Supervisor shall maintain discipline in self and profession, as well as balance in approach to the supervision of Home Care Workers. Our Nursing services follow the Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing framework that ensures culturally safe, relational, reflective and trauma informed Nursing Practice. This position is based out of Port Alberni, however, there would be travel to other Regions. Travel is by vehicle (Logging gravel road), helicopter, floatplane and boat.

I-HeLTI Community Based Researcher - Term

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a Community-Based Researcher (0.5 to 1.0 FTE) for a two-year term. This position will lead community-based activities and conduct research with participating First Nation communities. Reporting to the Research Associate Lead, the role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a combination of remote and in‑community responsibilities. While some tasks can be completed remotely, the researcher will be required to travel to NTC member First Nations multiple times per month to support recruitment and data collection. The successful candidate must reside on Vancouver Island, ensuring reasonable driving access to Port Alberni and NTC member communities. This role involves travel to remote and rural locations, which may include travel on gravel roads and transportation by boat, float plane, or helicopter.

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a full time Registered Nurse to provide Community Health Nursing services to Indigenous children and families in a variety of community-based settings in Port Alberni. Our Nursing services follow the Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing framework that ensures culturally safe, relational, reflective and trauma informed Nursing Practice. This position is based out of Port Alberni and will require travel to Nuu-chah-nulth territories along the coast of Vancouver Island (including by vehicle on gravel road, by boat, float plane and helicopter)

Community Health- Home Care Nurse Northern Region

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a permanent, full time Registered Nurse to provide a full continuum of Community Health and Home Care Nursing services to individuals in a variety of community based settings in NTC’s Northern Region territory. Our Nursing services follow the Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing framework that ensures culturally safe, relational, reflective and trauma informed Nursing Practice. This position is based out of Campbell River (NTC Northern Region Office). Travel to remote communities (Mowachaht-Muchalaht First Nations two days a week and Zeballos two days a week) with an overnight stay in community is required. Travel is by vehicle (Logging gravel road), helicopter, floatplane and boat. This position operates on 4 days a week (Mondays through Thursdays) schedule. Daily scheduled hours are 9.75, inclusive of a one-hour meal break.
