Employment Subsidy Program Coordinator ETSD

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a full-time, term (to March 31, 2023 with the possibility of an extension) Employment Subsidy Program Coordinator. Based out of Port Alberni, this position is part of the Social Development and Nuu-chah-nulth Employment Training Program (NETP) teams. Duties include coordinating quality mentored work placements & related training opportunities for eligible Nuu-chah-nulth youth aged 18-30, women, and persons with disabilities. This position will have responsibilities with NETP and Income Assistance First Nations Youth Employment Strategy (IAFNYES) programs. Travel (by vehicle, boat, and airplane, depending on caseload) is required for this position.

Dietitian-Diabetes Educator (term)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Nursing Services program is seeking either a Registered Dietician or a Registered Nurse (RN) who is certified as a diabetes educator (CDE) to serve as a Dietitian/Diabetes Educator. Based out of Port Alberni, this is full-time, 1-year term position that will support existing diabetes programming including both group teaching sessions and individual client counselling for Nuu-chah-nulth members on Vancouver Island.

0.8 Clinical Supervisor - Teechuktl (Mental Health)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Teechuktl Program is seeking a permanent, part-time (0.8) Clinical Supervisor to support Teechuktl staff working in all three of the NTC Regions. Based out of Port Alberni, this position will provide group and individual clinical supervision that supports a multi-disciplinary staff in their duties to provide the highest quality mental health services to clients. The Clinical Supervisor, at times, will be required to travel into the regions (including by road, boat, and airplane).

Fisheries Program Manager

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking an experienced leader to take on the exciting, full-time opportunity of Fisheries Program Manager. The position oversees all aspects of the NTC Fisheries Program (Uu-a-thluk), advancing Nuu-chah-nulth interests in fisheries access, management, and employment. Based out of Port Alberni, the position requires frequent travel to all Nuu-chah-nulth territories and other locations in BC.
Job Overview: Leading an efficient and effective team within a well-established fisheries program, the Fisheries Program Manager works for the 14 Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations to achieve a wide variety of fisheries related goals and objectives. The Fisheries Program Manager coordinates Nuu-chah-nulth fisheries policy and technical support and reports to the NTC Executive, Directors, Ha’wiih, Nations and their members.

Term Receptionist (Gold River)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a Part-time, Term Receptionist (to March 31, 2022). The Receptionist position is the first point of contact and is responsible for the hospitality and front desk support for multiple programs. Program Coordinator (Term)

Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a term (to March 31, 2023 – with the possibility of an extension), full-time Pre-employment Supports (PES) Coordinator. Along with program coordination activities, the PES Program Coordinator provides case management support to Social Development Workers’ client services. Based out of Port Alberni, this position’s duties are aligned with the NTC’s Education, Training, and Social Development Department.

Manager of Teechuktl (Mental Health) Services

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is looking for candidates for the position Manager of Teechuktl Services. Based out of Port Alberni, this permanent, full-time position will provide leadership and management expertise to effectively support the delivery of NTC’s mental health and wellness programs to ensures the needs of Nuu-chah-nulth children, youth and adults are being supported.

Janitorial Services — Gold River, Contract

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council is receiving applications from reliable community members to perform janitorial services for the Gold River Office. The Janitor will be responsible for keeping the NTC building office spaces, clean and orderly. Duties include emptying waste buckets, cleaning walls, doorknobs, windows, floors, stocking, disinfecting restrooms and kitchen area. Notifying management of the need for major repairs, clean front office entrance doorway. The contract is renewed each April 1st, at which time quality of service is reviewed.

Home Care / Community Health Nurse

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a part-time (0.9) Registered Nurse to provide a full continuum of Community Health Nursing services to individuals in a variety of community-based settings in NTC’s Northern Region territory.  Our Nursing services follow the Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing framework that ensures culturally safe, relational, reflective and trauma informed Nursing Practice.  This position is based out of the NTC Northern Region office (Gold River/Tsaxana), and requires travel (by vehicle, boat, and airplane) into communities.

Social Worker (Usma Family & Child Services)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Usma Family and Child Services is seeking an experienced, C6 delegated Social Worker to fill a permanent, full-time position. Based out of Port Alberni, this position will have full C6 caseload responsibilities. Travel (by vehicle, boat, and airplane, depending on caseload) is required for this position. Usma Nuu-chah-nulth Family and Child Services works on the traditional and unceded territories of the 14 Nuu-chah-nulth Nations, supporting and collaborating with community to develop appropriate responses to child safety concerns and build upon community support services.
