Bridging Director of Finance

The Bridging Director of Finance will work directly with the Director of Finance. The successful candidate will be given a thorough orientation to all aspects of the tribal council financial responsibilities with the intention that the successful candidate will transition to into the role of Director of Finance. The successful incumbent will be expected to develop and administer all aspects of financial services including budget preparation, coordination of the annual audit, supporting strategic decision-making, financial reporting (provincial and federal), management of the Finance team staff, and other related functions. This position is based out of Port Alberni BC with the requirement of working on-site at NTC Main Office. Reasonable relocation expense allowance will be provided for the successful candidate.

Case Manager (PES -Central Region)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Social Development Program is looking for a qualified person to fill a term (to March 31, 2025 – with the possibility of an extension), full-time Pre-Employment Supports Case Manager. This term position is best suited to someone who is skilled at inspiring and supporting clients in their pre-employment readiness and supporting them in reaching their potential through the development of training plans to achieve their employment goals. Based out of either Port Alberni, Tofino, or Ucluelet, the position will provide service and travel into the First Nation communities of Ucluelet, Tla-o-qui-aht, Ahousaht, and Hesquiaht.

PES Coordinator

Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a term (to March 31, 2025 – with the possibility
of an extension), full-time Pre-employment Supports (PES) Coordinator. Along with program
coordination activities, the PES Program Coordinator provides case management support to
Social Development Workers’ client services. Based out of Port Alberni, this position is under
the supervision of the Manager of Social Development, within the NTC’s Education, Training,
and Social Development Department.

First Nation Advocate Nurse

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Nursing Department is seeking a permanent full-time First Nation Advocate Nurse (FNAN). This specialized position will assist Indigenous patients with their hospitalization. The FNAN will contribute to the delivery of culturally safe care for Indigenous patients and their families through their interactions with physicians and admission/discharge planners. This permanent position is based out of Port Alberni and will work in collaboration with NTC Nursing in ensuring quality health care services to all Indigenous patients.

Manager of Teechuktl (Mental Health) Services — Term

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a qualified Manager of Teechuktl (Mental Health) Services. Based out of Port Alberni, this term (backfill January 2025 to February 2026), full-time position will provide leadership and management expertise to effectively support the delivery of NTC’s mental health and wellness programs to ensures the needs of Nuu-chah-nulth children, youth and adults are being supported. The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Teechuktl Program is seeking a full-time, term (until March 31, 2026) Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) Family Support Worker to provide support to families of Nuu-chah-nulth MMIWG. Based out of Tofino, this unique position will assist families affected by the issue of missing women and girls and will coordinate activities to support wellness and healing within a culturally safe framework. Mothers Support Worker (3 Positions)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking one permanent, full-time Mothers Support Workers to work in group settings and with individuals to deliver the Mother’s Story Program, which includes Healthy Babies Groups. The Mother’s Story program is a relational approach to caring for mothers, families, and families rooted in Nuu-Chah-Nulth traditions. It is a strengths-based, relational, cultural and person-centered approach to care and education throughout the perinatal journey. The Mothers’ Support Worker will be responsible for providing perinatal guidance and education to pregnant women and mothers through Healthy Babies groups.
These positions are based out of Port Alberni and will require travel to Campbell River or Tofino (by vehicle, boat, and airplane) into communities.

Quu’asa Wellness Worker — Tofino

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council’s Teechuktl (Mental Health) program is seeking a full-time, term (to March 31, 2025) Quu’asa Wellness Worker to provide culturally based support to Central Region individuals, families, and communities. Based out of Tofino, this unique position would be best suited for someone who has a desire to bring cultural practices into healing with an emphasis of providing support to First Nations people who are at risk or have been involved in high-risk lifestyles. This position requires travel into remote communities (including on gravel road, by boat, float plane and helicopter).

Community Health Nurse Urban

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a permanent, full time Registered Nurse to provide Community Health Nursing services to Indigenous children and families living in or visiting Port Alberni. The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC), Teechuktl (Mental Health) Program is seeking a permanent, full-time Teechuktl Clinical Counsellor to provide individual counselling for individuals or families in NTC’s Northern Region. Based out of Campbell River, this position would best suit someone who can provide counselling services that promotes individual and community wellness through a balance of Quu’asa (First Nation people) values and trauma-based clinical methods. This position requires travel into Zeballos and Gold River communities including on gravel road, by helicopter, float plane, and boat.

C6 Social Worker (Child Protection)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Usma Family and Child Services is seeking three (3) experienced, C6 delegated Social Workers to fill permanent, full-time positions. Based out of Port Alberni, these positions will have full C6 caseload responsibilities. Travel (by vehicle, boat, and airplane, depending on caseload) is required for this position. Usma Nuu-chah-nulth Family and Child Services works on the traditional and unceded territories of the 14 Nuu-chah-nulth Nations, supporting and collaborating with community to develop appropriate responses to child safety concerns and build upon community support services.
