The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) employs more than 150 Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in small and medium-sized communities across Vancouver Island.

Our dedicated staff delivers a wide range of services to 14 Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations, including health care, educational support, child and family services, community news reporting…and much more.

Capital GIS Technician 3

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Capital Program is seeking a 1-year term, full-time qualified Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technician 3. This position reports to the Capital Operations Manager and will work in coordination with the GIS Technician 1 & 2 in the compilation and analyses of GIS data for infrastructure and housing asset conditions. The GIS Technician 3 will design, develop, and implement systems and databases for accessing and storing geospatial data. This role will analyze data using mapping software to interpret GIS data and compile reports for the NTC Transfer of Authority process. The GIS Technician 3 position is based out Port Alberni (southern region), and requires travel (by vehicle, boat, and airplane) into communities.

Capital Project Manager (Construction)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Capital Program is seeking a 1-year term, full-time
qualified Capital Project Manager (CPM). This position will work under the supervision of The
Director of Capital Programs. The CPM will be responsible for supporting NTC Capital Programs in
the execution of Project Management activities. This position will coordinate between NTC Capital
program and member Nations to coordinate, develop, deliver and report on program and project
development initiatives. The CPM position is based out Port Alberni (southern region), and requires
travel (by vehicle, boat, and airplane) into communities.

Community Health Nurse Casual (Southern Region)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide a full continuum of Community Health care services to individuals in a variety of community-based settings in Port Alberni. Our Nursing services follow the Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing framework that ensures culturally safe, relational, reflective and trauma informed Nursing Practice. This casual position is based out of Port Alberni and will require travel to Nuu-chah-nulth territories along the coast of Vancouver Island (including by vehicle on gravel road, by boat, float plane and helicopter).

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide a full continuum of Community Health care services to individuals in a variety of community-based settings in Port Alberni. Our Nursing services follow the Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing framework that ensures culturally safe, relational, reflective and trauma informed Nursing Practice. This position is based out of Campbell River (NTC Northern Region Office). Travel to remote communities (Mowachaht-Muchalaht First Nations two days a week and Zeballos two days a week) with an overnight stay in community is required. Travel is by vehicle (Logging gravel road), helicopter, floatplane and boat.

Resolution Health Support Worker (Tofino)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council Teechuktl (Mental Health) Program is seeking a term (to March 31, 2026), full-time Resolution Health Support Worker to provide cultural and emotional support to residential school survivors and their families. This position also provides support completing Day Scholar and Indian Day School applications in community, and in urban settings. This position is based out of Tofino, and requires travel (including on gravel road, by boat, float plane and helicopter) into Central Region communities.

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC), Teechuktl (Mental Health) Program is seeking a permanent, full-time Teechuktl Clinical Counsellor to provide individual counselling for individuals or families in NTC’s Southern Regions (Port Alberni). Based out of the NTC’s Port Alberni office, this position would best suit someone who can provide counselling services that promotes individual and community wellness through a balance of Quu’asa (First Nation people) values and trauma-based clinical methods. This position requires travel into remote communities including on gravel road, by helicopter, float plane, and boat.

Dietitian/Diabetes Educator (Term)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Nursing Services program is seeking a Registered Dietician who is certified as a diabetes educator (CDE) to serve as a Dietitian/Diabetes Educator. Based out of Port Alberni, this term (Backfill till September 2025), full-time position will provide culturally safe diabetes education, consultation and liaison to clients, caregivers, family members and other service providers for Nuu-chah-nulth members. This position requires travel into remote communities including on gravel road, by Helicopter, float plane and boat.

Community Health- Home Care Nurse

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a permanent, part-time (.8 FTE) Registered Nurse to provide a full continuum of Community Health and Home Care Nursing services to individuals in a variety of community-based settings in NTC’s Northern Region territory. Our Nursing services follow the Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing framework that ensures culturally safe, relational, reflective and trauma informed Nursing Practice. C6 Social Worker (Child Protection)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Usma Family and Child Services is seeking three (3) experienced, C6 delegated Social Workers to fill permanent, full-time positions. Based out of Port Alberni BC, these positions will have full C6 caseload responsibilities. Travel (by vehicle, boat, and airplane, depending on caseload) is required for this position. Usma Nuu-chah-nulth Family and Child Services works on the traditional and unceded territories of the 14 Nuu-chah-nulth Nations, supporting and collaborating with community to develop appropriate responses to child safety concerns and build upon community support services.
